Pamela Day Walsh is a retired Colorado dentist. She is certified as a quilt judge through the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges and is a Past Candidate Coordinator for NACQJ. Dr Walsh has chaired the Colorado Quilting Council Competition Committee and is Past President of Quaking Aspen Quilt Guild in Boulder, Colorado. She attends and judges numerous national, state and local quilt shows annually. Dr Walsh enjoys sharing how to achieve the objective standards of workmanship and design used to evaluate quilts in competition. Her desire is to encourage and enable the quilter to produce their very best work with each quilt they complete.

Karen began her quilting journey in 1993 following many years of sewing and needlework. Her work encompasses all styles, and she has taught various classes and designed patterns for shops and magazines. Her quilts have won awards at local and national levels, including the AQS show in Paducah, KY and the NQA show in Columbus, OH.  After extensive self-study and judging experience, she became a National Quilting Association Certified Judge in 2007. She is qualified to judge Masterpiece Quilts.  After moving from Wisconsin to Florida in 2010, her quilting style continues to evolve, following the tropical trends. She resides in Florida and Colorado with her husband and dog, enjoying year-round beach walking, hiking, biking, kayaking, and making quilts inspired by the natural beauty surrounding her.
